With the recent signing by President Bush of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, there are some real improvements in benefits for Active Miltiary/Veterans wishing to buy or construct a home. In addition, for those Veterans in need of home improvements additional grants are being offered.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is raising the ceiling on its no-downpayment home loan programs from the current $417,000 to as much as $729,000!

In addition, the Act also provides additional funding for home improvements to help those with certain service-connected disabilities.
